We’re slowly approaching kick-off of Super Bowl LVIII, which means it’s time to get your bets in line.

You can, of course, bet on the spread, total, and moneyline for the game over at FanDuel Sportsbook, but they also have a ton of player props, game props, and specials loaded up to make it even more fun to get in on the action.

Here are my three favorites for the big game:

Anytime Touchdown Scorer

The Pick: Travis Kelce EVEN

You think Taylor Swift is traveling all the way from Japan to Las Vegas to not see Travis score a touchdown?!

For as below-average as Kelce was this regular season (tallying under 1,000 receiving yards for the first time since 2015) he’s shown up in the playoffs. The 34-year-old has been incredibly efficient, catching 23 catches on his 27 targets and hauling in all 11 of his targets in the AFC Championship Game.

He also has three touchdowns over their last two games. He notches another on Sunday.

Player to Record a Sack

The Pick: Chris Jones +132

While a) Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones has yet to record a full sack this postseason and b) San Francisco’s offensive line seldom allows them, Sunday feels like his time to shine.

Working with defensive guru and coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, the 6-foot-6 mammoth gets after Brock Purdy at least once.

Triple Crown – Most Passing, Receiving, Rushing Yards

The Pick: Patrick Mahomes/Travis Kelce/Christian McCaffrey +710

This is one of the more intruiging bets FanDuel has to offer for Sunday and, while I’m going with the favorite, the +710 odds feel too good to pass up.

Mahomes is the best quarterback in football and only has to beat out Brock Purdy, Kelce is the best pass catcher in the game and has been a monster so far in the postseason, and Christian McCaffrey is both the best running back in football and the heartbeat of the 49ers offense.

Like I said, too good to pass up.

Storylines

Here’s a look at some big-picture storylines to watch ahead of Sunday’s big game in Sin City:

— Patrick Mahomes is set to start in his fourth Super Bowl since becoming the Chiefs starting quarterback at the start of the 2018 season. He’s 2-1 in his previous three and has thrown five touchdowns to four interceptions.

— 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, the 262nd pick in the 2022 NFL Draft (a.k.a. Mr. Irrelevant), has been sensational for San Francisco over the course of the last two seasons. The 24-year-old has thrown for 44 touchdowns and just 13 interceptions sine taking over for Jimmy Garoppolo last season, and now gets a chance to play in his first Super Bowl. Labeled a “game manager”, Purdy said of the title on Tuesday: “If you’re saying I’m a game manager and I don’t look flashy in how I do it, that’s your opinion and that’s okay… I think winning at the end of the day is the biggest and most important thing.”

— Sunday’s game features a matchup between two of the game’s best tight ends in Travis Kelce and George Kittle. Kelce fell off a bit this past regular season, failing to surpass 1,000 yards receiving for the first time since 2015, but he continues to dominate in the playoffs. The 34-year-old has hauled in 23 catches on 27 targets this postseason and also put up an 11-for-11 performance in the AFC Championship Game for 116 yards and a touchdown. Kittle, meanwhile, bounced back in 2023 by tallying his first 1,000-yard season since 2019 and continuing to be a mainstay as a blocker in San Francisco’s rushing offense. Both players are crucial to their team’s output.

— Both teams were also incredible defensively this past season. The Chiefs were second in points allowed per game with 17.3, and the 49ers were third with 17.5.

Predictions and Picks

You think I’m picking against Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl?! No chance.

The 49ers put up a fight but in the end, the 28-year-old Mahomes once again puts together a magnificent performance on the game’s biggest state and continues to inch closer to Tom Brady in the “greatest ever” conversation.

Score: Chiefs 34 – 49ers 24

Side: Chiefs +2.5

Total: OVER 47.5

My favorite Super Bowl bet, every year, is who will take home the MVP award. There’s just something about betting on who will be the best player, on the best team, in the biggest game of the season.

On top of the spread, moneyline, point total, and all of the exotics and specials, our exclusive wagering partners at FanDuel Sportsbook also have odds on who will win Super Bowl LVIII MVP. Here’s a look:

Odds to Win Super Bowl LVIII MVP

Patrick Mahomes                                     +150

Brock Purdy                                               +210

Christian McCaffrey                                 +450

Travis Kelce                                              +1400

Isiah Pacheco                                          +2500

Deebo Samuel                                         +2500

Brandon Aiyuk                                         +5000

Rashee Rice                                              +5000

George Kittle                                            +7000

Nick Bosa                                                  +8000

Chris Jones                                             +11000

Fred Warner                                           +14000

Here are my top five picks to take home the award:

5. Chris Jones (+11000)

Defensive lineman Chris Jones has been a monster for the Chiefs since they drafted him in the second round of the 2016 draft. The 6-foot-6, 310-pound wrecking ball has tallied 75.5 sacks over the course of his eight-year career, and notched 10.5 in 2023-24 to go along with his 30 tackles and seven run stuffs.

If for some reason Sunday’s game in a low-scorer and Jones can notch a couple sacks and maybe even an interception (his first since 2018), then the 110-1 odds for him to win the MVP suddenly look pretty good.

4. Christian McCaffrey (+450)

One of the best players in Sunday’s game, Christian McCaffrey is sure to make an impact on the 49ers offense one way or another.

So why is he at No. 4? Below Brock Purdy? Simple. The last time a running back won Super Bowl MVP was back in 1998 when the Broncos beat the Packers in Super Bowl XXXII. It’s not common, but if anyone’s going to do it it’s McCaffrey.

3. Brock Purdy (+210)

Of the 25 players that have won Super Bowl MVP since Terrell Davis did so as a running back in 1998, 16 of them have been quarterbacks.

No matter how Sunday’s game goes, if the 49ers win it then it’s likely if not certain that Brock Purdy will win the award. If you think San Francisco will come out on top like the sportsbooks do (2.5-point favorites according to FanDuel), then it may be worth sprinkling their Mr. Irrelevant quarterback to win MVP at 2/1 as well.

2. Travis Kelce (+1400)

While it’s fair to say that Travis Kelce fell off a bit this regular season is a fair assessment given it was his first season under 1,000 yards receiving since 2015, the fact is: he continues to dominate in the playoffs.

The 34-year-old tight end has been incredibly efficient in the postseason, catching 23 catches on his 27 targets and hauling in all 11 of his AFC Championship Game targets last week for 116 yards and a touchdown.

If it doesn’t go to a quarterback, often time the Super Bowl MVP award goes to their top pass catcher. Kelce has a chance on Sunday.

1. Patrick Mahomes (+150)

Is there much to even explain here?

The best player in the game is my pick to win the Super Bowl MVP on Sunday. Why? Because it’s impossible to bet against the Chiefs to win the contest with him at the helm, and it’s far more likely than not that he’ll be the reason they come out victorious.

Mahomes at plus-money is too good of value to pass up.

Happy Super Bowl week!

The 49ers and Chiefs have officially touched down in Las Vegas as we’re now under a week away from Super Bowl LVIII’s kickoff from Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium on Sunday.

First Offensive Play of Game to Result in a Safety +50000

Here are my three favorites:

Christian McCaffrey to Score 1+ Rushing TD & 1+ Receiving TD +750

While Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo is likely to draw up a sensational game plan against the high-flying 49ers offense, Christian McCaffrey may be the one player in the NFL who can stress it.

He scored 21 touchdowns (14 rushing, 7 receiving) in the regular season and has four (all rushing) thus far in the postseason. I like the +750 odds for him to find paydirt twice, once on the ground and once through the air, on Sunday.

Travis Kelce to Catch Every Target +950

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has been incredibly efficient in the postseason, catching 23 catches on his 27 targets (including an 11-for-11 performance in the AFC Championship).

He and Mahomes keep it rolling on Sunday. I love +950 odds for the dynamic duo to bat 1.000.

75+ Yard Receiving TD to be Scored +2000

I needed a long shot, so both San Francisco and Kansas City’s offenses have the ability to pop off at any time. It’s the Super Bowl. Both play-callers should have a trick or two up their sleeve that can result in a long score.

For the second year in a row, FanDuel Sportsbook and Rob Gronkowski are back with the Kick of Destiny.

Last season, prior to kick-off of Super Bowl LVII, the former Patriots tight end attempted a 25-yard field goal as a way to give users a share of $10 million in bonus bets.

Here’s a look at last year’s kick:

He missed!

This year, Gronk will give it a shot once again. Here’s how it’ll work, per FanDuel:

  1. Make your pick on if you think Gronk will make or miss the 15-yard field goal
  2. Tune in LIVE before the game on Super Bowl Sunday
  3. Win a share of $10,000,000 in Bonus Bets if you’re right!
  4. If you made the right pick, check back Monday (2/12) to see what you’ve got!

Click here to make your pick.

The question locks at 5:45 p.m. EST on Super Bowl Sunday, February 11th. Up until then, you can edit your pick at any time.

Ahead of Sunday’s second annual Kick of Destiny, Gronkowski has been practicing and even hit a 40-yarder in one of his sessions:

“There’s something I gotta tell you,” he told Kay Adams on her Up and Adams show, “I tried it six times in a row. I missed the first five and then the sixth one I hit right down the middle. But practice makes perfect and that’s why I keep going. I had the resilience. I keep missing but it’s all right. I keep trying, and I finally got it down.”

Former Patriots kicker and Super Bowl legend Adam Vinatieri also made an appearance on Adams’ show with Gronkowski and gave him some advice on how to bounce back from last year’s miss:

“Well honestly, you have to try and forget about it,” he said. “The problem for you is, you’ve had a whole year to think about it, right? When you miss one in a normal regular season game you’ve got seven days and you’re back on the field. Or even if you miss one on the beginning of the game you just try to wipe it out of your mind and really focus in on your fundamentals… Dude, I watched you all last year. I watched you warm up, watched you hit a bunch of ’em. I’m betting, I’m putting my money that you’re gonna make this one this year, for sure.”

The Pick: So what’s our pick? He makes it, of course! Go get your share of $10 million in bonus bets.

The Super Bowl LVIII matchup is officially set!

Following their victories on Championship Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will face off in Las Vegas on February 11th for a chance to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. The game will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and air on CBS.

Here’s the opening line for the contest, according to FanDuel Sportsbook:

Super Bowl LVIII Opening Line – Chiefs vs. 49ers

Spread: 49ers -2.5

Moneyline: 49ers -142/Chiefs +120

Total: O/U 47.5

Storylines

Here are some big-picture storylines ahead of the Super Bowl 54 rematch in Las Vegas:

Kansas City Chiefs

— For the second week in a row, the Chiefs went on the road to the higher seeds house and inched out an impressive win, beating the Ravens 17-10.

— Kansas City defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo put together an extraordinary game plan, holding Baltimore to just 10 points and forcing them into three turnovers. Lamar Jackson ran for just 54 yards, threw a costly interception, and was sacked four times.

— After playing in his sixth conference championship in six seasons, Patrick Mahomes is now headed to his fourth Super Bowl.

— Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce broke 49ers wide receiver Jerry Rice’s all-time record for most receptions in postseason history. He has 152 career catches in the playoffs.

San Francisco 49ers

— After falling into a 24-7 hole at halftime, the 49ers picked themselves up by their bootstraps in the second half and mounted a massive comeback, winning 34-31 and advancing to the Super Bowl.

— The 49ers’ appearance in the NFC Championship was their fourth in the last five years. They’ll now go to their second Super Bowl in the Shanahan era.

— Their first? A 31-20 loss to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV in 2020.

— The Lions’ second-half implosion included a dropped pass on a fourth down by WR Josh Reynolds, a fumble by Jahmyr Gibbs, and another dropped pass on third down by Reynolds.

— Quarterback Brock Purdy silenced the haters once again on Sunday, throwing for 267 yards on 20 completions while adding 48 yards rushing.

— Christian McCaffrey was once again the star of the San Francisco offense, rushing for 90 yards on 20 attempts (4.5 YPC) and adding two rushing touchdowns. He also caught four passes for 42 yards.

— Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk made arguably the play of the game at the start of the 49ers’ momentum swing, hauling in this 51-yard pass from Purdy that set up a touchdown:

It’s championship Sunday in the NFL this weekend, and the three-seed Lions are headed to San Francisco to take on the one-seed 49ers for a chance to advance to the Super Bowl.

The NFC championship will kick off at 6:30 p.m. following the AFC’s matchup between the Chiefs and the Ravens and air on FOX.

As always, these odds are brought to you by our exclusive wagering partners at FanDuel Sportsbook:

Odds – Lions vs. 49ers

Spread: 49ers -7.5

Moneyline: 49ers -375/Lions +300

Total: O/U 51.5

Storylines

Here’s a look at some big-picture storylines to watch ahead of Sunday’s contest at Santa Clara’s Levi’s Stadium:

— The Lions come into Sunday evening off of their first two playoff wins since 1991. They beat the Buccaneers in Detroit last weekend behind 287 yards and two touchdown passes from quarterback Jared Goff.

— This is Goff’s second NFC Championship game appearance. He was the quarterback off the Rams in 2018-19 when they lost to the Patriots in Super Bowl LIII.

— San Francisco enters Sunday having squeaked by the Green Bay Packers last weekend. With 1:07 remaining, Christian McCaffrey scored a six-yard touchdown to give the 49ers a 24-21 lead.

— McCaffrey is the favorite to win the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year award for 2023. He led the league in rushing yards with 1,459 and also scored 21 total touchdowns.

— San Francisco’s defense, one of the league’s best, allowed just 17.5 points per game this season.

Predictions and Picks

Much like the AFC Championship between the Chiefs and Ravens, I see this one being a tight contest. After nearly losing to Green Bay last Sunday, it’s clear that the 49ers are vulnerable and can be had, despite being arguably the league’s best team from top to bottom.

Given Goff’s playoff experience and the way Dan Campbell has the Lions playing right now, I’m going to take Detroit to not only cover the 7.5, but win this one outright.

For the first time ever, the Detroit Lions will play in a Super Bowl.

Score: Lions 21 – 49ers 17

Side: Lions +7.5

Total: UNDER 51.5

It’s championship Sunday in the NFL this weekend and we’re kicking it off first with the AFC.

The three-seed Chiefs are headed to Baltimore to take on the one-seed Ravens. The game will air on CBS and kick-off at 3:00 p.m.

Oh, and you can bet on it! Here are the odds, brought to you by our exclusive wagering partners at FanDuel Sportsbook:

Odds – Chiefs vs. Ravens

Spread: Ravens -3.5

Moneyline: Ravens -205/Chiefs +172

Total: O/U 44.5

Storylines

Here’s a look at some big-picture storylines to watch ahead of Sunday’s contest at Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium:

— The Chiefs come into Sunday afternoon riding high after a 27-24 win over their rival Bills in Buffalo last Sunday. Behind two Travis Kelce touchdowns and a missed Tyler Bass field goal, Kansas City finds themselves back in the conference title game.

— Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is set to start his sixth AFC Championship game. He’s made the conference championship in all six seasons he’s been the starting QB in Kansas City.

— On the other side, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, arguably the second-greatest dual-threat quarterback in NFL history to only Michael Vick, will play in his first AFC Championship game.

— Jackson is the favorite to win the Super Bowl MVP award at FanDuel with +200 odds. He’s also in line to win his second career NFL MVP award at the NFL Honors the night before the Super Bowl. In 2023-24, Jackson threw for 3,678 yards and 24 touchdowns while adding 821 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns.

— Baltimore’s defense was the best in football in 2023-24. Led by linebackers Roquan Smith and Patrick Queen, the Ravens allowed just 16.7 points per game in the regular season. They allowed just 10 to the Texans last Saturday in their 34-10 win.

Predictions and Picks

This is going to be a battle. As mentioned above, Baltimore’s defense was lethal this season, and it’s a tough unit for even Andy Reid’s Chiefs offense to get through. Plus, Jackson and Todd Monken’s offense can go for 30 points at the snap of a finger.

It’s painful to pick against Patrick Mahomes in this spot, though. I did it last weekend in Buffalo and regretted it. The Chiefs win a tight one in Baltimore and head to their fourth Super Bowl in five years.

Score: Chiefs 28 – Ravens 21

Side: Chiefs +3.5

Total: OVER 44.5

With plenty to choose from, here are my three favorites for Sunday:

Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes to Combine for 100+ Rushing Yards (+105)

Jackson went for 100 yards rushing on his own last weekend against the Texans and Patrick Mahomes is always run-happy in the postseason when everything is on the line.

100+ from the two QBs on Sunday feels like a safe bet to make.

Any player to Record 200+ Yards Receiving (+1500)

The player pool on Sunday is filled with mega-talented pass catchers. Travis Kelce, Deebo Samuel, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Brandon Aiyuk, and Odell Beckham Jr. to name a few.

All four offenses can score at will and, if someone starts to get hot, they’ll feed them. I like someone to go for over 200 yards at +1500 odds.

60+ Yard Field Goal to be Scored (+2200)

Not only are Jake Moody, Michael Badgley, and Harrison Butker all quality kickers who are trusted by their team, but arguably the greatest of all time at the position plays this weekend in Justin Tucker.

60+ at +2200 feels like a good value bet.

The NFL Playoffs are back again this weekend as the postseason has now dwindled down to eight final teams.

We’re back with Divisional Round Sunday, and two matchups to close out the weekend.

As always, these odds, previews, and predictions are powered by our exclusive wagering partners at FanDuel Sportsbook. So head over there to make every moment more.

Here’s a look at Saturday’s contests:

Odds – Buccaneers @ Lions

Spread: Lions -6.5

Moneyline: Lions -275/Buccaneers +225

Total: O/U 48.5

Storylines, Predictions, and Pick

Coming off of their first playoff win since 1991 (!!), the Lions get to play host again at Ford Field this weekend when they welcome the Buccaneers to town this Sunday.

Said Bucs beat the defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles 32-9 behind a 337-yard, three-touchdown performance from quarterback Baker Mayfield. The sixth-year pro has had quite the career resurgence in Tampa and has Tampa on the verge of the conference title game for the second time in four years.

The Lions are no easy task, though. As mentioned above, they got the monkey off their back in Jared Goff’s revenge game last Sunday night to the tune of a 24-23 win over the Rams. Ultimately, I think they’re too talented 1-53 to lose to Tampa. The Bucs keep it close, though, and cover the spread.

Score: Lions 31 – Buccaneers 30

Side: Buccaneers +6.5

Total: OVER 48.5

Odds – Chiefs @ Bills

Spread: Bills -2.5

Moneyline: Bills -144/Chiefs +122

Total: O/U 45.5

Storylines, Predictions, and Pick

In the NFL’s best new rivalry, the Chiefs are headed to Buffalo on Sunday night to take on the Bills.

The Bills, after an atrocious and frankly un-Bills-like 6-6 start to the season, have rattled off five straight wins and, due to winning the AFC East in Week 18, will host their rival Chiefs for the first time since 2020.

Speaking of the Chiefs, while they finished the regular season 11-6 and pulled off a victory over Miam in the Wild Card round, they haven’t been nearly the Kansas City team we’ve seen in years past. Patrick Mahomes’ offense scored just 21.8 points per game (15th in the NFL), and failed to be a top-10 offense in yards-per-game for the first time since 2016.

While I think Sunday’s contest will be close, KC just hasn’t shown me enough to back them in this spot. I like the Bills to win and cover in another classic matchup between Mahomes and Josh Allen.

Score: Bills 38 – Chiefs 31

Side: Bill -2.5

Total: OVER 45.5
